Lecturer Strikes Interview

Following the propositions by Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) for pension schemes in which lecturers may lose up to 40% of pensions which translates to up to £10,000 in pensions. University and College Union (UCU) strikes have consequently begun where industrial action is due to carry on until March 16th.

Here, one striking lecturer at the University of Essex discusses his reasons for striking and explains more about the strike and proposals.
